Privacy Policy

How information is handled by the current DwellPatch website.

Effective October 16, 2026.

This policy describes information handled by the current DwellPatch website at dwellpatch.com. For a privacy question or request, email info@dwellpatch.com or choose Privacy request on the contact form.

Reading the site

You can read the guides without creating an account or submitting a message. The current site does not offer public accounts, article comments, purchases or newsletter signup. Its fonts and illustrations are served from this website.

The current public site does not include third party advertising, analytics or embedded media scripts. This describes the present implementation, rather than a promise that services will never change. We will revise this policy when a change affects the information handled.

Contact messages and replies

The contact form asks for a name, email address, message topic and message. We use that information to handle the correspondence, investigate a reported issue and reply when appropriate. Email sent directly to the published address contains the information you choose to include.

Form messages are passed through the site’s mail service to DwellPatch’s contact recipient. The form does not create a public comment or a reader account. Message copies may remain in the receiving mailbox, mail service systems and related backups.

Send only information relevant to the request. Do not include passwords, payment information, identity documents or private property records. If a public manufacturer document supports a correction, send its link rather than a file containing personal details.

Technical requests and abuse prevention

Hosting and email services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. Server requests can include an IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time. Service providers may retain logs and backups under their service arrangements.

The contact form checks a security token and includes a field intended to detect automated submissions. It also uses a short rate limit to reduce repeated messages. The rate limit uses a salted hash derived from the connection’s IP address.

The active limit expires after two minutes. Expired technical records may remain until WordPress or hosting cleanup removes them. This expiry is separate from retention of the message itself.

These measures help operate the form; they do not make a message anonymous. The reply address and message remain part of the correspondence. Avoid including information that is unnecessary for us to investigate the issue.

Cookies and site services

The current theme does not add advertising or analytics tracking cookies for ordinary browsing. WordPress can use necessary cookies for administrator login and related site functions. Hosting services may process requests for security, caching and delivery.

Changing browser cookie settings does not remove information already sent in a message or held in service logs. External websites reached through a link may use their own cookies and services. Their policies apply when you visit them.

External sources and affiliate links

Guides link to manufacturer documents, official sources and, where relevant, retailers. Those publishers control their own websites and data handling. Review their policies before submitting information or making a purchase there.

Amazon affiliate links may allow Amazon to attribute a qualifying purchase to DwellPatch. DwellPatch does not take payment or receive your retailer login through those links. The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial relationship.

Retention and privacy requests

We retain correspondence as needed to address the request, maintain useful records, protect the site and meet applicable obligations. There is no single stated deletion interval covering every mailbox, hosting log and service backup. The two minute contact rate limit is separate from message retention.

You can ask about information you sent, request a correction or request deletion of the correspondence. Include enough context to identify it, such as the sending address, approximate date and subject. Please do not send an identity document as an initial step.

We may need to confirm that a request comes from the person concerned before acting on it. A request may also involve information held in service logs or backups, or records that need to be retained for an applicable obligation. We will assess the request in its actual context rather than promise that every copy can be removed immediately.

Policy changes and questions

The effective date above identifies this version. New advertising, analytics, account features or other services require a fresh review of the policy and any controls appropriate to those services.

Send questions about this policy to info@dwellpatch.com. For an article error rather than a data request, use the Correction topic so the report can be investigated with its source material.
